HOMESTEAD CAMP

Stay close to the heart of the station at the Homestead Camp, where powered and unpowered sites put you right near the action. Just steps from Dusty Bar, the General Store, and our lagoon-style swimming pool, you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay, including bathroom facilities with hot showers and flushing toilets. With a playground for the kids and a laundry on hand, it’s the perfect base for your Home Valley adventure. Powered sites are limited, so pre-book to secure your spot.

RIVER CAMP

Escape to the River Camp beside the Pentecost River, just 4km from the Homestead, where you’ll wake up to the sounds of nature and breathtaking views of the Cockburn Range. Set along the banks of the mighty Pentecost River, this camp is renowned for its unforgettable sunsets, abundant wildlife, and top-notch fishing spots. With unpowered sites available (generators welcome between 8am and 8pm), the camp offers bathroom facilities featuring hot showers, flushing toilets, and sheltered areas for your convenience.

RIVERSIDE SUITES

Powered – Yes. We only have 16 powered sites, so bookings are essential. 

Unpowered Allocated Sites – Yes, pre-bookings are required for the river camp allocated sites.

Unpowered Unallocated Sites – Preferably, especially in peak periods.

River Camp is about 4km from the Homestead and overlooks the Pentecost River – it is known for incredible sunsets. It has both bathroom facilities and shelters.

If you want to be close to the action, the Homestead Camp is near Dusty Bar, entertainment, and the campfire. 

Yes, we do have suitable accommodation and access for wheelchairs. Our Homestead Deluxe rooms have a king bed, air-conditioning and en-suite. Please ensure when booking you include this request to ensure we allocate accordingly. Our entire homestead is also surrounded by concrete pathways to allow easy access throughout. 

No, there are no BBQ facilities at Home Valley. Campers need to be self-sufficient and bring their own cooking equipment. You can have fires in the designated fire pits, unless DFES has notified otherwise. Campers are also welcomed to dine at Dusty Bar for breakfast, lunch or dinner. (Pre-bookings for dinner are essential). 

Home Valley has designated fire pits that guests are able to use. Guests are required to collect their own firewood, which can be done from around the grounds, however no trees are to be cut down for this purpose. 

The Gibb River Road is a challenging drive with roughly 16km of unsealed sections and two water crossings that sit between 300-500mm in depth, hence we recommend off road caravans and campers. You can bring your caravan with you should you wish, and we do have facilities available when you get here. 

Kununurra is the closest town for food shopping, it is 120km from Home Valley and has a Coles supermarket, IGA, Butchers, Bakery, pharmacy, cafes, takeaways (Subway, Barra Shack, CFC, Bakery Pizza Wed-Sat, Thai 2 u Wed-Sat ), hotels, bottle shops, Commonwealth bank, post office (all other banking can be done at the post office), hospital, medical centre, dentist, camping store etc.
