Frequenty Asked Questions
Home Valley Station is open during the Kimberley dry season. This usually falls between May and October.
Home Valley Station is approx.10 kms of unsealed road from Pentecost River.
Road conditions can vary depending on when the road was last graded. Some sections will be worse than others, with corrugated sections and smoother sections. The best advice is to be prepared. Always have a couple of spare tyres, a large supply of water, two -way radio and a satellite phone is also recommended.

Yes, Home Valley has Optus 3G coverage at the property and within an approximate 3km radius. There is also Telstra 4G coverage.
NB: Whilst there is now Optus and Telstra reception at Home Valley Station and its neighbouring stations – El Questro and Ellenbrae – for the majority of the Gibb River Road you will not have any network coverage and carrying a satellite phone and a two -way radio is highly recommended.
Home Valley Station has a 1300m airstrip that charter flights can land on. Pre-arrangements are essential. There is also a helipad near the Homestead.
